UVA Health Update | Feb. 6, 2026
Heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death for women in the United States. Friday, Feb. 6, is National Wear Red Day, an annual campaign to raise awareness about heart disease in women. February is also American Heart Month, so everyone was encouraged to wear this stunning color to help focus on cardiovascular risks and diseases.
Below are a few photos of your UVA Health colleagues showing their support for heart disease awareness. (Keep emailing photos — we'll add them throughout the day.)
