On Thursday, Dec. 15, Santa Claus visited the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UVA Children’s to take photos with babies and their families. NICU team members coordinated the annual photo shoot so families can have a special memento of their baby to mark the holidays.

Special thanks to Dr. Robert Sinkin, a UVA Health neonatologist, who has played Santa for the last 39 years, and will be retiring as Santa following this year’s event. Thank you for bringing so much joy to our patients and their families during the holiday seasons for the past four decades, Dr. Sinkin!
