Limited Valet Service Returns to Medical Center Starting Aug. 2
On Monday, Aug. 2, valet service will return for the Medical Center main entrance, Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center, and Emergency Department (ED). Valet service will continue to expand in the coming months. See below for details.

In March 2020, valet services were suspended as a health and safety precaution for COVID-19. Because valet is a frequently requested service from patients, family members, and visitors, restarting the service has been a priority.
“Towne Park, our valet partner, has demonstrated that the service can be provided safely for patients and staff,” says Vickie Marsh, Patient Experience Manager. She also notes that “we can expand the service locations over the next few months as we build staff and demand increases.”
Pricing (cash only):
- $7 per vehicle
- $5 for handicapped
- Free for disabled veterans
Coming soon are a discount program for frequent visitors and a switch from cash to credit card payments.
The Lee Street Garage and 11th Street Garage are available to patients and guests 24 hours a day.
Is this service offered free to expectant mothers too?

Unfortunately, the service is not free for expecting mothers. The fee will be $7 per a park or $5 for handicapped. We will offer a discount program where a parker can buy 4 parks and get the 5th free or buy 8 and get 2 free.

I see there is now a charge for Handicapped Valet parking. There wasn’t a charge prior to COVID and this seemed to be a benefit our handicapped patients appreciated. Will the charge be dropped when the program is expanded in the future?

In reviewing the services provided for valet and what other hospitals are charging, we made the change. We will be offering a discount program where a parker can buy 4 parks and get the 5th free or buy 8 and get 2 free. We have many frequent patients that come to UVA for care, so we are trying to meet their needs.
