“Your impact on patient care is seen by those you work alongside and is inspiring to everyone,” adds Nursing Professional Governance Organization President Amy Jordan, BSN, RN, PMGT-BC.

The week featured fun, games, connections, reunions, recognition, learning opportunities, and special spotlights on our team members.

By the Numbers:

• 2 a.m.: Higher Grounds extends hours throughout Nurses Week. 
• 5 vendors join the new Food Truck Friday.
• 5 days of off-grounds visits to UVA Health ambulatory clinics to celebrate Naitonal Nurses Month.
• 48 hours of rounding on-grounds during the night and 60 hours of rounding on-grounds during the day — with games, snacks, and prizes!
• 87 UVA Health Legacy Nurses honored in the on-site and virtual Hall of Fame for 35+ years each of continuous service.
• 144 nominees celebrated at the 2024 Nursing Excellence Awards.
• 160 attendees participate in the 2024 Evidence-Based Practice Symposium.
• 600+ team members particpate in 2 drop-in style celebrations.
• 1,101 entries in the Nurses Week Prize Giveaway. See the winners.
