Each quarter, the UVA Health University Medical Center Patient Experience Office honors two departments per survey service type: Top Performer and Most Improved. These awards celebrate exceptional commitment to enhancing the patient experience through compassionate care and meaningful connection — key elements in building trust and promoting overall well-being.
- Top Performer Award is presented to the department that has surpassed fiscal year targets for both key metrics: “Staff Work Together to Care for You” and “Likelihood of Recommending/Overall Rating” — achieving the highest combined variance to goal within their service category.
- Most Improved Award recognizes the department that has shown the greatest progress compared to the previous quarter’s performance in the same core metrics.
