Open Enrollment | Review Your Benefits Use Now
UVA’s Benefits Open Enrollment for plan year 2026 is Oct. 6-17, 2025.
The Open Enrollment website is live, and this email as well as the website details how to prepare yourself to choose benefits during Open Enrollment.
- Taking care of yourself is essential to achieving your best, personally and professionally. Take advantage of all the benefits UVA offers you so you can prioritize self-care to thrive at work.
- Build your benefits knowledge and feel confident in selecting benefits that optimize your family’s health care spending for the coming year.
- Plan your benefits decisions prior to Open Enrollment.
- Review resources and attend virtual educational webinars, the Open Enrollment Town Hall, and in-person events.
- Learn what’s changing and what that means for you.
- Connect with benefits counselors in person or online to ask questions.
- Access to primary care is getting better! Teladoc Virtual PCP will soon offer you convenient online visits with a primary care provider for regular checkups, one-time non-urgent needs and personalized health plans. 24/7 care continues to be available for general medicine, behavioral healthcare (Age 13+), dermatology, and caregiving.
- Explore how a tax-free Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) can help you manage health care costs more effectively.
- Take a short survey and tell us about your Open Enrollment experience once you submit your elections in Workday; this helps us improve next year!
Choosing the right health, dental, vision, and benefit savings options gives you peace of mind for routine medical needs and when unexpected events occur.
Review Your Benefits
What You Can Do Now to Prepare for Open Enrollment
Make sure the benefits you chose in 2025 are meeting your needs:
- Do you have unused funds in your FSA account that you can use? Funds must be used by the end of the year. Visit the Fidelity website to check your FSA account balance, and the online FSA store to use your unspent FSA dollars.
- Did your benefits elections align with your health care needs? Log into Workday and review your benefits.
- Changing dependent coverage or adding a new dependent in 2026? If so, have your dependent required documentation ready to upload into Workday during Open Enrollment. You will not be able to submit your benefits elections without the required documentation.
- Is your home address and phone # correct in Workday? Avoid delays in communications. Update through the Workday menu: Personal Information/Change/Contact Information.
- Have you used your preventive services for health, dental and vision? Routine checkups help catch issues early and support long-term wellness.
- Review your medical claims and pharmacy on the Aetna website.
- Review your dental claims on the United Concordia website.
- Review your vision claims on the Davis Vision website.
- Need a PCP?
- Visit Aetna.com anytime or call the A1A advocate team at 800.987.9072.
- Schedule an appointment at the UVA Health Employee Primary Care by logging into your UVA Health MyChart account and requesting an appointment, or by calling 434.297.4680.
- Schedule an appointment with a dedicated Teladoc primary care provider of your choice who coordinates all aspects of your health. Initiate care through app, web or phone by choosing your primary care provider and scheduling an appointment. Download the app, call 855.835.2362 or visit TeladocHealth.com/Aetna and get started.
Take advantage of all available resources and benefits to invest in your and your family’s health and well-being. As Open Enrollment approaches, reviewing your benefits usage and knowing your preferences is a great way to prepare for next year.
Notice of Creditable Coverage
We are required to provide you with an annual Medicare Part D Notice of Creditable Coverage about your prescription drug coverage. The 2026 UVA Health Plans are creditable and expected to pay as much as standard Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. The full notice is available on the UVA Health Plan web page.
