UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center Tech Extends a Helping Hand to Anyone in Need
"She is an amazing tech and does a phenomenal job at going above and beyond for other team members and for every patient — no matter what!"
Victoria Jenkins, Technical Assistant, UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, has won a BEE (Being Excellent Everyday) Award which celebrates the significant collaboration between nursing and other care team members. Jenkins earned a certificate and a BEE pin.
She's recognized for her consistent hard work, and her passion for her role.
See a Need, Fill a Need
The nominator, who chose to remain anonymous, explains: “Victoria was working on overflow one night and noticed we were short staffed with no tech. Without ever asking, she jumped in to help us with all our patients. Not only did she have her assignment — but she also took on answering call lights, grabbing vitals, changing patients, and more when she could. She is an amazing tech and does a phenomenal job at going above and beyond for other team members and for every patient — no matter what!”
In Her Own Words
Jenkins has worked for UVA Health for a year, moving toward her goal to become a nurse. She highlights the significance of supporting each other in everything we do: “Winning this award means that I am being recognized for helping others even when I am busy myself," she says. "This is how teamwork should be!”
Know a Deserving Team Member?
Indeed, the BEE Award recognizes UVA Health team members who work alongside our nurses to impact patients' experiences — just as bees and flowers depend on one another.
Recipients go above and beyond to support our mission and uplift our teams. Nominate a UVA Health Culpeper, Haymarket, or Prince William Medical Center team member for a BEE Award.
