

Faculty Alonso, Elgin, and Mitchell Inducted as American Academy of Nursing Fellows
On Oct. 18, three UVA Health team members were inducted as Fellows of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN) during the Health Policy Conference in Washington, D.C.
Kim Elgin, DNP, APRN, ACNS-BC, PCCN, CMSRN, FCNS, Clinician Educator of Nursing, Assistant Professor of Nursing, and Director of Advanced Practice Providers; Windy Alonso, PhD, RN, FHFSA, FAHA, UVA School of Nursing inaugural Department of Nursing Research Chair; and Emma Mitchell, PhD, RN, CPH, UVA School of Nursing Associate Professor and nurse scientist, were honored alongside five UVA School of Nursing alumni inductees. An American Academy of Nursing Fellowship is one of the highest professional honors in nursing.
