Received Your COVID Vaccine? Congrats! Check Out These 44 Photos From Your Peers
Time to schedule your first COVID-19 vaccination is dwindling down (see deadlines), but if you’ve already gotten your shot, congratulations! Share a selfie with us, and we'll post your photos below to encourage others to sign up for theirs.
To start us off, we have a photo above from Sam Addison, ECMO Specialist, who recently received his vaccine from Tracey Hoke, MD, Chief of Quality and Associate Professor of Pediatrics.
Please email your photo to uvaconnect@virginia.edu. Be sure to maintain distancing and masking guidelines when taking your photo. Note that by emailing your photo to Connect, you are granting permission to publish it on the site.
Next, talk to your colleagues, friends, and family members, and tell them why you chose to get vaccinated and why they should, too. Learn more about the vaccine on the COVID-19 Vaccination Program website.
At this time, only UVA Health team members and those identified in Phase 1a can register to get vaccinated at the Employee Resource Center. Other UVA staff and community members can learn more about their vaccination options through their local health department.
Check out the photos of our team below. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who has done their part to stop the COVID-19 pandemic!
I was so happy to meet Dr. Tracey Hoke IRL when she gave me my first vaccination!
I have had the best time being a vaccinator! I’ve met colleagues that I would have never met otherwise (because I’m in Pediatrics) and it’s gratifying working at a common goal. The icing on the cake are our elderly community members coming in for their vaccines and being so JOYFUL at the thought of life returning to somewhat normal.
I love seeing these pictures. Our eyes say it all— and express happiness and excitement at getting vaccinated.
