The UVA Health Patient Experience Office has honored the recipients of the annual Patient Experience Awards, which recognize providers and teams delivering exceptional patient care. Recipients are selected based on top scores from Press Ganey surveys that assess patient perceptions at UVA Health.

Awardees for fiscal year 2024 include 304 licensed independent practitioners (LIPs), and 144 departmental teams from a wide range of practice settings. Honored for two or more years in a row are 211 providers, while 93 providers are being honored for the first time.

Also of note:

• Departmental honorees either achieved a rating in the 90th percentile or higher for the Enterprise Measure question or improved their percentile ranking by at least 20 points compared to the previous year, with a sample size of more than 39 responses.
• LIP honorees achieved a rating in the 90th percentile or higher, with a sample size of more than 39 responses.

At a Nov. 4 ceremony at UVA Darden School of Business, UVA Health CEO and UVA Health Affairs Executive Vice President K. Craig Kent, MD, (above) served as keynote speaker.

UVA Health University Medical Center Hospitality and Support Services Director Sally LeBeau delivered opening and closing remarks.
