Drop Off Unwanted Medication at UVA Health’s Prescription Drug Takeback Day on Saturday, April 24
UVA Health is hosting a Prescription Drug Takeback Day outside the Education Resource Center (ERC), at 1240 Lee Street, Charlottesville, on Saturday, April 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Leftover and unwanted medications will be disposed of safely and in an effort to help combat the opioid crisis.
This will be a drive-through, touch-free event with no questions asked. Please wear a mask over your mouth and nose. Open to UVA Health team members and members of the community.
This event is sponsored by UVA Pharmacy, UVA Pain Management, and the UVA Police Department.
In addition to this event, the ERC Pharmacy and Zion Crossroads Pharmacy have freestanding drug collection boxes that can be used year-round for safe medication disposal. Learn more on Connect. The pharmacy and receptacle at the ERC are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
