Emergency Blood Shortage: Sign Up to Donate

The American Red Cross — UVA Health’s primary supplier of blood products — is experiencing an emergency blood shortage as the nation faces the lowest number of people giving blood in 20 years. Your blood donation is needed now to help alleviate the shortage and ensure life-saving medical procedures are not delayed. Sign up to donate below:

Monday, Feb. 5 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (FULL)
Monday, Feb. 19 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (FULL)
Wednesday, Feb. 21 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

“Mad Cow” Eligibility | Those who spent time in Europe may give blood. If you were previously deferred from giving by the Red Cross due to “mad cow,” you may now be eligible. Learn more.
