Family Medicine Earns Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition for Fifth Consecutive Time

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) recently renewed the UVA Department of Family Medicine’s Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition for four practices:

“Congratulations to all of our clinics for receiving PCMH accreditation once again,” said Becky Compton, DNP, Department of Family Medicine. “This is amazing! I would like to personally thank each and every one of our team members who helped make this possible, especially during a very challenging year.”

The NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home standards emphasize the use of systematic, patient-centered, coordinated care that supports access, communication and patient involvement.

Li Li, MD, PhD, MPH

Li Li, MD, Department Chair, is focused on advancing the PCMH model and supporting these efforts through population management and continuous quality improvement to meet patient care needs, says Compton.

UVA Family Medicine received the PCHM Recognition for the first time in 2015 and has retained recognition through 2021.

Thank you to Family Medicine for putting the patient at the center of all you do!
