Get a Sneak Peek of the New ED: Team Member Open House Is Sept. 13
Don’t miss your chance to see the new Emergency Department (ED) before it opens to patients on Oct. 15. A Team Member Open House will be held Friday, Sept. 13, between 9 a.m. and noon.
Take a tour of the new space, have your questions answered by ED staff, register for door prizes, and enjoy light refreshments and coffee. See below for details about the event.
Where do I enter the new ED?
Team members should access the event from the new outside entrance to the University Hospital Expansion. Do not use interior entrances.
When do tours start?
Tours will take approximately 10-15 minutes and will begin as team members are ready.
Do I need my badge?
Yes. Team members should always wear their ID badge while at work. Team members planning to visit the event while off shift should also wear their badge.

I am very impressed with the new Emergency Department expansion–I can tell that much input came from an ENTIRE patient care team (administrative and medical, etc). I was in complete awe as I toured the facility. So proud to be a part of UVA Health at this moment and time!
