Get Ready for Open Enrollment with Events and Presentations

Events and Presentations | To help you choose

Benefits Open Enrollment for plan year 2023 occurs Oct. 3-14, 2022. Make sure to review and confirm your benefits early and print out or save as a PDF a confirmation of your benefits when you’re done. It’s not too early to review your benefits now and learn what’s new.

Since the Open Enrollment window is only two weeks, we are providing you with all the information you need to decide prior to Open Enrollment opening so you can carefully consider options, ask questions, and enroll early. DON’T wait until the short window opens to do it all. You have plenty of resources available now. To make the Open Enrollment experience as convenient for you as possible, the Open Enrollment events will have both in-person and virtual offerings.

The Open Enrollment webpages are open, and this email gives important dates and explains how the Open Enrollment presentations will work this year.

Benefits and Well-Being Expo | Join us in person or virtually

This is also a great opportunity to meet benefits and well-being partners and:

Because the University of Virginia cares about your well-being, Hoos Well — the University’s award-winning comprehensive employee well-being program — offers a variety of resources to help you make healthy lifestyle choices and thrive.

Open Enrollment Benefits Presentations | Learn about benefits changes

Open Enrollment benefits presentations began September 14 but there’s still time to catch one! They are in person and hosted virtually in Zoom, and you may attend whichever session best fits your schedule. Each will contain the same content except for the live Q&A at the end of the sessions and will include an overview of the Open Enrollment process, changes to your benefits, resources, premiums, maximizing well-being, and key dates. Register below for a virtual presentation or attend several live presentations on October 5 during the Benefits & Well-Being Expo at Newcomb Hall:

Not able to attend? Watch the recorded Open Enrollment benefits presentation anytime or visit the Presentations webpage after Oct. 5 for recordings of the benefit vendor presentations.

Open Enrollment Town Hall October 6, noon-1:30 pm
Extend your benefits knowledge beyond Open Enrollment

A virtual Open Enrollment Town Hall will provide additional information beyond the Open Enrollment Zoom presentations. The Town Hall will include presentations and Q&A sessions with FEAP, Hoos Well, Fidelity, and UVA HR Leave, Benefits, and Retirement experts. The time will again be 1 ½ hours this year to allow plenty of time for your questions. Prepare your questions in advance and upload them when you log in. You DO need to register in advance for the Town Hall.
