Dear UVA Health Team Members,

Please join me in welcoming Min Lee, MBA, MHA, as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for UVA Health Medical Center effective June 27, 2022. Ms. Lee is an extraordinary results-oriented and collaborative leader with a strong commitment to community and serving all those who entrust us with their care. She comes to UVA from Reading Hospital, part of the broader Tower Health System in Reading, Pennsylvania, where she is the vice president of operations overseeing the McGlinn Cancer Institute, imaging services, laboratory services, pharmacy services, emergency management, security services, clinical engineering, construction management and central transport.

Prior to her current role, Min served as vice president of operations for Emory Healthcare at Emory University Hospital Midtown, a 550-bed academic medical center (AMC) in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, she provided strategic direction and operational oversight for multiple departments, including environmental services, facilities management, imaging services, pharmacy services, property management, and respiratory services.

Ms. Lee earned an MBA/MHA from Georgia State University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Georgia. She is Lean Certified and is currently enrolled in Woodruff Health Sciences Leadership Academy. She is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Additionally, I am extraordinarily grateful to the search committee members for the diligence, collaboration and energy they provided to ensure we were able to recruit the ideal candidate to fill the COO role for UVA Health Medical Center. I would also like to extend my sincere gratitude to Veronica Brill, Associate Chief Nursing Officer, and Robert Guanci, Chief Pharmacy Officer, for their interim leadership while our nationwide search was conducted.
