Photos: UVA Children’s Community Pediatric Vaccination Event
On Saturday, June 25, from 8 a.m.-noon, UVA Children’s hosted a vaccination event, offering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to children 6 months through 4 years of age.
Thank you to the 25 volunteers — nurses, physicians, techs, CNAs, representatives from Volunteer Services, pharmacists, and a medical student — who dressed as superheroes or Disney characters to make the day a little more fun (and less scary) as they administered vaccines to 177 of our smaller patients.
"We were all so happy to take this opportunity to serve our community," says Teresa Green, Director, UVA Children’s Hospital. "Parents were so happy this day had finally come and shared some of the things they were going to be able to do now that their child/children were vaccinated!"
Here are a few photos from the event.
This makes me so happy!
Thank you to all who made this happen.
This is amazing! Love being a part of this team!
What a happy day! Thank you!!
