Get Ready for Epic System Updates Coming October 20

Workplace Violence Response Exercises
UVA Emergency Management is conducting workplace violence exercises in November. Managers may request Emergency Management conduct an exercise for their unit by emailing healthsystemem@virginia.edu. Include your requested date and time, unit name, exercise location, number of participants and unit contact (name, email and phone number). Exercises require at least 10 team members participating over a 30-minute time period. Exercising with neighboring units is encouraged. To get the most from the exercise, Emergency Management strongly advises using work-area locations instead of conference rooms.
UVA Faculty and Employee Assistance Program (FEAP) Secondary Location Change
The program’s new satellite office at 350 Old Ivy Way, Suite 300, is now open, and the Pantops location is closed. FEAP’s main office location in the West Complex and phone number remain the same. Learn more about FEAP here.

This course for basic life support and advanced life support providers gives a prehospital trauma care philosophy, stressing the need to treat the multi-system trauma patient as a unique entity with specific needs.
