Oct. 10: Donate Blood and Save Lives

The American Red Cross, UVA Health’s primary supplier of blood products, is facing a severe blood shortage. The Red Cross's national blood supply has fallen by about 25% since early August. Right now, blood product distributions to hospitals are outpacing the number of blood donations coming in.

Eligible donors, especially those with Type O blood and platelet donors, are asked to make an appointment to give now and help save patient lives.

Tuesday, Oct. 10 | 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Quayle Learning Center
1204 West Main St. | Battle Building, First Floor
