The Nursing Professional Governance Organization honors up to two UVA Health University Medical Center team members each month with a BEE (Being Excellent Everyday) Award.

Nursing Director Leigh Gauriloff, MSN, RN, CMSRN, and BEE Award Committee Chair Hannah Kolpack surprised Hyunlim Choi, Patient Care Technician (PCT), 3 North, with the BEE Award.

Nurses Mindy Ellis, Colleen Merchant, Karina Guinn, and Akilah Douglas, submitted the nomination:

"Choi is one of the best techs I've had the privilege to work with. She's attentive to the patient's needs, very dependable, kind, and efficient. I know my patients are well cared for when Choi is caring for them. I really appreciate her hard work and positive attitude. She's a vital part of the 3 North team!"
