As a reminder, our next major Epic upgrade — the Quad Upgrade — will occur on Sunday, Nov. 5, beginning at 12:55 a.m. You can find role-based training materials in the Epic Learning Library which covers: 

• Key changes
• How the Epic Quad Upgrade impacts your Epic experience
• Step-by-step guidance on how to prepare for and navigate the upgraded Epic System 

New this year, the Epic training team created an Upgrade Learning Home Dashboard. To access the dashboard, and all training material, simply click F1 while in Epic. This new dashboard organizes upgrade material by application, category, and the Top 5 Changes, while also allowing you to view the Learning Home Dashboard and go directly to the Epic Learning Library to learn about specific changes that are relevant to your role. You can also find the Upgrade Learning Home Dashboard by searching “upgrade” in dashboard activity. 

It is important that all team members take time to prepare for the changes you will encounter. While the impact of the Quad Upgrade on team members is expected to be modest, we want our team members to be ready. Beginning at 5 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 1, the following Epic functionality will be unavailable:

• Creating, editing, and sharing SmartPhrases
• Editing chart review filters
• View personalization and customizations
• Creating and editing QuickActions
• Creating and editing NoteWriter macros
• Modifying sidebar location
• Customizing advanced settings for reports and filters
• Personalizing dashboards
