On Nov. 9, as part of a special Veterans Day ceremony at the University Hospital expansion project, Skanska USA, members of the construction project team, and subcontractors — many of whom are veterans — honored the military service of team members.

Col. Dan Kuecker, U.S. Army Prosecutor, addressed the approximately 400 construction workers from the University Hospital expansion project; a member of the University of Virginia ROTA a cappella quartet sang the National Anthem; the UVA ROTC Color Guard presented the flag; and representatives of Charlottesville-based ParadeRest explained how they support local military families with tickets to UVA and community events, collection of living histories, and sponsorship of cultural and athletic events.
