Veterans Day Tribute
UVA Health Team Members:
Tomorrow, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day, a holiday centered since 1919 in honor of America's veterans for their unwavering patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Please join us in honoring all of our brave military members who have, or currently are, serving our country.
To all of our veteran team members, we extend our deepest gratitude for your selfless service and sacrifices. We recognize that your experiences, your strength, and your resilience enrich our communities, touch the lives of our patients, and profoundly impact all of us. We are collectively better because of you.
As we observe Veterans Day, let us express our gratitude not only to our veterans at UVA Health, but to all veterans everywhere for their dedication to our great country. We encourage each member of our team to take a moment to recognize the courageous individuals who have fought for the numerous freedoms we cherish. More than just appreciation, let's pledge to learn from their exemplary standards of service, embodying that spirit in our own lives and work.
In tribute to our veterans, UVA Health will light the University Medical Center's South Tower in red, white, and blue starting tonight through Sunday evening. UVA Community Health also will honor veterans in Culpeper, Haymarket, and Prince William and on Military Walls of Honor at each medical center.
Thank you once again to our veterans and to every member of our UVA Health family for embodying the values that make our health system exceptional. Together, we continue to make meaningful progress toward our mission of transforming health and inspiring hope for all Virginians and beyond.
Sincerely,
