Two years ago, on March 21, 2020, the first patient with COVID-19 was admitted to UVA Health Medical Center. On March 21, 2022, UVA Health honored this significant milestone with a special “Reflections and Hope Event” to pay tribute to the patients who entrusted us with their care, our team members for their enduring dedication and perseverance, and our community for its support.

It was also a day of hope, a day when we resolved to use the diverse, yet shared experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic to guide our evolution as an organization and as healthcare providers toward a better, stronger future.
