UVA Health Team Members,

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 10 a.m. tomorrow (Feb. 6) for all of Albemarle County, as well as central and northern Virginia. During this time, mixed precipitation is forecasted along with sleet and ice accumulations up to 0.1 inch. While we will continue to monitor conditions, we do not anticipate making any operational changes at this time. Please continue to check our Operations Status Board for the latest information. 

If traveling tomorrow morning, please check the weather prior to departing and plan additional time for your commute. Resources are linked below to help keep you prepared.

Awareness

• Monitor weather forecasts via the National Weather Service, local media, and Virginia511 (for traffic and road conditions). 
• To receive direct text notifications from P&T/UTS about parking updates, UTS route changes, and alerts, text Health to 434-939-4307.
• Consider an emergency alert app, like UVA Ready, FEMA, or the Red Cross.
