The School of Nursing’s annual White Coat and Pinning Ceremony took place Nov. 4 in Old Cabell Hall with nearly 800 students, family members, loved ones, faculty, and staff in attendance.
Ninety-two second-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students donned their white coats for the first time, signifying the beginning of their clinical rotations and their transitioning to care for human, rather than simulated, patients; 77 first-year students received a gold pin; 25 accelerated BSNs and 84 third-year BSNs earned an orange pin; and 112 fourth-year BSNs earned the final pin of their nursing-school career as they round the corner to practicum and graduation.
Please join us in congratulating these students and in thanking the faculty and staff who are supporting them on their educational journey!
