On Opening Day, New Community Clinic Vaccinates 183 Essential Workers
Despite snowy conditions on Sunday, Jan. 31, the new COVID-19 Vaccination Center in Seminole Square (393 Hillsdale Drive in Charlottesville) opened as planned.
Vaccinations were provided to 183 Phase 1b essential workers, including homeless shelter workers, city social workers, and individuals affiliated with local schools and the Boys and Girls Club.
The other community vaccination site on Hydraulic Road in the former Kmart parking lot will continue to operate. Staffed by UVA Health and the Blue Ridge Health District (BRHD), both sites will provide vaccinations by appointment only.
