Feb. 6 | 14 Photos | National Wear Red Day | “Heart disease continues to be the leading cause of death for women in the United States. Friday, Feb. 3, was National Wear Red Day, an annual campaign to raise awareness about heart disease in women. February is also American Heart Month, so everyone was encouraged to wear this stunning color to help focus on cardiovascular risks and diseases.”

June 15 | UVA Health Branding Is Updated to Reflect Forward Momentum | “The recent launch of the UVA Health 10-year Strategic Plan continues to bring several opportunities for re-envisioning our health system as we seek to provide quality care across the Commonwealth of Virginia, including an assessment of the UVA Health brand alongside our ever-expanding operations. To keep up with the organization’s evolution and expansion, on June 15, UVA Health revealed refreshed branding, including new facility names, design approaches, and resources for our team members, all of which has been in the works for several months.”

March 20 | Video and 99 Photos: Congratulations, SMD23, on a Successful Match Day! | “On Friday, March 17, the UVA School of Medicine’s Class of 2023 learned where they will continue their training as residents at hospitals across the country, including UVA Medical Center. Match Day is held at the same time at medical schools across the U.S. The event brings together family and friends to help the soon-to-be doctors celebrate. At noon, the students simultaneously opened envelopes that revealed the location of their residencies.”

Jan. 25 | Five Things to Know About the New Late Arrival, No Show, and Late Cancel Policy | “A lesser-known component of the UVA Health One Team | United on Access project is developing health system policies and procedures to support the project goals.
