Oct. 21: Find Your Next Step at the 2024 Healthcare Education Fair
Looking for details on programs in Charlottesville, across Virginia, and in Washington, D.C., that offer healthcare degrees and certificates to determine, change, or advance your education path? The 2024 Healthcare Education Fair — Monday, Oct. 21, 4:30-7:30 p.m., University Medical Center Dining Conference Rooms — is your one-stop shop!
UVA Health team members can meet admissions counselors and other representatives to learn the latest information on a wide range of fields such as radiology, OT, nursing at all levels, pharmacy tech, health administration, UVA Health’s EWYL, and more. Scheduled to attend are:
- UVA Health Earn While You Learn
- UVA School of Nursing: RN-BSN, MSN, CNL, DNP, PhD
- George Mason University: Graduate programs in Nursing, Health Administration and Policy, Health Informatics, Nutrition, Global and Community Health, Social Work
- Georgetown University (pending programs)
- James Madison University: RN-BSN, MSN-DNP
- Mary Baldwin University: Nursing
- Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences: School of Health Professions, School of Nursing
- Piedmont Virginia Community College: Radiography, RN (ADN), Pharmacy Tech, Medical Lab Tech
- Shenandoah University: Occupational Therapy
- Virginia Commonwealth University: RN Nursing, BSN, MSN, DN, College of Health Professions
In addition, representatives from UVA Career Navigation Center, UVA HR Benefits, and UVA Health University Medical Center’s Nursing Professional Governance Organization (NPGO) will talk about mentorship, career coaching, application writing, scholarships, and employee education benefits such as tuition reimbursement.
Light snacks provided along with a chance to win Higher Grounds gift card!
The event is sponsored by NPGO’s Professional Development Committee. “This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a variety of education paths — or learn more about different nursing programs,” says Luella Glanzer, MSN, RN, Nursing Professional Governance Clinical Leader, UVA Health University Medical Center. “You can get a lot of information in a short amount of time, thanks to the admissions counselors right here on-site. Bring a colleague and stop by!”
