Providers: Supercharge Your Epic Experience by Becoming a Power User

In response to provider feedback gleaned from the 2025 Epic Experience Survey, the HIT Epic Training Team is partnering with Clinical Informatics to launch a new Provider Power User Program. Designed to strengthen provider-level support for Epic, deepen workflow knowledge, and build a connected community of clinical champions, the program is open to providers from all UVA Health entities (University Medical Center, UVA Community Health, UPG Clinical Practice Group, etc.).

What’s a Power User?

A Provider Power User serves as a peer resource for day-to-day Epic questions about workflows and practices; shares feedback with Epic Training and Clinical Informatics to help improve the Epic experience; and supports onboarding, upgrades, and workflow changes.

Power Users receive additional Epic training that helps them work more efficiently while also positioning them to support their colleagues. They are also invited to exclusive monthly Provider Power User meetings and events where they can share feedback to help shape Epic at UVA Health and be the first to learn about new features and upgrades.
