Beyond the Badge: A Conversation With Rudy Beverly
Dear Colleagues,
Last month, I shared that we would soon launch a new video series called Beyond the Badge — an opportunity for us to get to know the people who make UVA Health such a special place. I’m excited to share the first episode with you today.
In this series, I meet with individuals from across UVA Health to learn more about their roles, their experiences, and the lives they lead beyond work. Every person who wears a UVA Health badge contributes in meaningful ways to our mission, and I believe there is great value in hearing and sharing those stories.
Our first conversation features Rudy Beverly from University Medical Center, who leads teams responsible for patient transportation, equipment distribution, shuttle services, and fleet operations. This work plays an important role in keeping our health system moving (quite literally) every day.
I hope you enjoy getting to know Rudy and learning more about the people behind the work that defines UVA Health.
Thank you for all you do.
Mitch

very nice conversation with Rudy. I really like the format.
I love this format. UVA is so large. This is a great way to get to know people within the organization and demonstrates Mitch Rosner’s leadership style.
This is a great forum! I have had the honor to work with Rudy for many years and admire his professionalism, kindness, and can do mentality. Wonderful colleague to start the “Beyond the Badge” series.
This is such a great addition to the opportunities being presented that allow our large academic medical center to feel a deeper internal sense of community. Rudy is a deeply committed team member and someone I’ve appreciated getting to know over the last 12 years. He’s incredibly kind and professional—always goes above and beyond. Thanks for providing this, Dr. Rosner, and thanks to Rudy and his team for all they do—every day!
