Dear UVA Health Team Members,

Every year, UVA Health Week is our opportunity to thank you for your dedication and your contributions to our mission of transforming health and inspiring hope for all Virginians and beyond. We are continually moved by your boundless capacity to care for our patients, their families, and each other, and we appreciate your work so much.

With events kicking off this Sunday, this year’s UVA Health Week theme — “Building Better, Together” — feels especially fitting as we celebrate several important milestones across our organization:

• Five years since welcoming UVA Community Health into our system.
• Fifty years since the founding of the Claude Moore Health Sciences Library.
• One hundred twenty-five years since the founding of UVA School of Nursing and University Hospital.

We are grateful for these past accomplishments and, with a refreshed strategic plan in place, are excited to work as a team to build on them as we continue our quest to operate as one health system team, be a best place to work, and, most important, strive to fulfill our mission.

We have planned fun celebrations and meals this week for all team members. Please consult the schedule below, and if your location is not listed, your manager will communicate plans to you.
